Starting in the Fall of 2016, the University of Illinois Rowing Clubs will begin training at the Clinton Lake Rowing Center in Farmer City, IL. The 4,900 acre, 9-mile long lake is an excellent venue for training and racing. The Rowing Center is located at the northeast end of the lake near the Parnell Exhibition area. The Rowing Center faces a protected 2500m long section of the lake with a 6-lane, 2000m race course. The race course serves as the venue for multiple home duels as well as the Illinois Collegiate Rowing Invitational. Future developments for the Clinton Lake Rowing Center are planned including the construction of a 3-bay boathouse, improved dock systems, and an expansion to a fully buoyed 8-lane course.
